Stone & Beam was started by brothers Mark and Paul Whitaker after twenty years working for larger contractors around Bradford.

We now have a team of fourteen, including our own joiners, bricklayers and plasterers, so most of your build is done by people who work for us and nobody else.

We take on around twelve projects a year. That is deliberate. It means Mark or Paul visits every site every week.

Questions people ask

Do I need planning permission?

Many single storey rear extensions and most loft conversions fall under permitted development. We check on the survey and handle applications when they are needed.

Do you take a deposit?

We take 10 percent to book your start date, then stage payments as each part of the build is signed off.

How far do you travel?

Bradford, Leeds, Shipley, Bingley, Keighley, Ilkley and the villages in between.
